GEETIKA SEEBARUTH

                Since the beginning of the Hospitality Management course, I have been interested in the hotel industry. Each semester we have been learning new things and also we got in the depth of this industry. This course managed to keep my interest really high in it.  After my first and second internship I got the opportunity to know how does the hotel industry actually operates. I found out that it is indeed a really fascinating industry but also it can be very tiring. The work in this industry, the interaction with different of guests, and the environment is what attract me but the working shifts seem to be too tiring. I feel that I might not be able to balance my work life and personal life if I work in this industry. 

          

                   Through all my experiences during this course and my internship, I found out the my strength is that I am able to keep my composure well. Working in the hotel industry can be frustrating sometimes, especially when dealing with demanding guests. In these situation, one should able to keep his calm and be very patient with the guests. However my weakness is that I can be shy and not confident enough sometimes. This might not be acceptable for the hotel industry. The latter requires its staff to be confident and independent. I am working on being more confident.
