NON- ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES

Personal Development Programme (PDP) 2017

I have volunteered to be the leader of the PDP to welcome students from the March intake 2017. It has been a great and interesting experience to lead a group of people. I had developed different Taylor's Graduate Capabilities (TGCs) such as communication skills, interpersonal and intrapersonal skills. I had a group and i had to communicate with them to explain what are the different tasks that we had to do during the PDP. My interpersonal skill was developed when I had to work as a team with the members of my group while my intrapersonal skills was  developed when I had to overcome my fear and shyness to work as a leader in a team. In the end it didn't matter whether we won or lose in the games of the PDP; all that mattered is that I learnt a lot and also enjoyed myself.

Wine and Dine Club

I participated in a visit organised by the Taylor's Wine and Dine Club and was awarded a certificate of participation. The visit was to Beer factory where we went to learn the process of how beer was brewed. We also learnt about different types of beer. We even tasted beer. It was an interesting visit through which I developed the lifelong learning skills of the TGCs.
